Which First Aid & CPR Course is Right For You?

Flex Point Academy is approved by WSIB to deliver its approved Basic and Intermediate First Aid and CPR/AED programs in Ontario. If you'd like to know more about the material covered in each course, please check the table below. Each course has an online theory portion and an in-person practical training portion. All First Aid & CPR students have to schedule a date to come into Flex Point Academy to complete their in-person training.

Basic First Aid & CPR/AED

Required for all security guards and some office roles.

 7.5 hours total 
(4 hours online + 3.5 hours in-person)

Completion of this course grants participants their Basic First Aid & CPR/AED certification, valid for three years.

Intermediate First Aid & CPR/AED

Required for corporate and healthcare professionals.

 15 hours total
7 hours online + 8 hours in-person

Emergency First Aid & CPR Level C

This mandatory course is required for all security guards before they can receive their license.

Emergency Level BLS

This course is a requirement for some health care practitioners.

Standard First Aid & CPR Level C

This course is a requirement for corporate professionals.

Standard Level BLS

This course is a requirement for healthcare practitioners.

Careers that Require First Aid & CPR Training

Security Guard

In order to receive a licence all security guards in Ontario are required to pass a security guard training course in addition to Basic First Aid & CPR/AED training. Our Complete Security Guard Pathway includes both our:

1. Ministry-certified Security Guard Training
2.  Ontario WSIB certified Basic First Aid & CPR/AED course

This pathway bundles both courses discounted to you. You also have the option to purchase CPR courses separately.

Corporate Professionals

If you are a coporate professional and are required to complete First Aid & CPR training you will most likely need to take our Intermediate First Aid & CPR/AED training. This course goes into more detail than Basic CPR that most corporate roles will require you to know about.
